The first and scarcer of the two banks in town. Chartered in 1896, but eventually meeting its maker during the throes of the Great Depression. In 1935 there was $16,980 outstanding. Smythe sold this same note for $242 well over twenty years ago. If they can do it in a far weaker market then we should at least be able to double that figure.
