A quality Hoer note that has the double whammy of coolness for an otherwise mundane Confederate type note. First, it is signed by Major and Quartermaster James G. Paxton. Paxton was stationed at Lynchburg, VA. Notes with his manuscript are always desirable. Second, there is an advertising stamp for J.H. Childrey of Richmond, VA. A very cool note.
