Grade:
PMG VF 25
This Madison County institution threw its doors open in 1864 and issued notes through the end of the small size era. Despite that fact, there are a meager nine large size notes known. Well signed and well printed with a Trimmed left margin spotted by PMG. According to the National Bank Note Census, this note should very likely qualify as the finest known on the bank. We first sold this same piece a dozen years ago for over $1,700.
