Inverted overprint with red serials and seal plus signatures and series applied upside down. The plate note from the 4th Edition of the Bart reference book where it carries a conservative estimate of $7,500 in XF. One of only four known on the 1953 series, with none known on the 1963 series. This auction allows an astute collector to become the fourth person in history to own a Series 1928, Series 1953, and Series 1976 inverted overprint. A highlight of the Doris A. Bart Collection and destined to provide equal pleasure to the next conservator of this landmark error.
