Engraving error; missing the back plate. Research by the late Chuck O'Donnell, in the 1960s, suggested that this should be back plate 100, although this has never been confirmed. Most examples exist in low to mid-grades making authentication difficult. This pristine example, and the lot that follows, are remarkable examples.
