Lot #75681 - Continental Currency - ($ 300.00 - $ 600.00)
CC-21 $1/2 February 17, 1776
A decent example of this better fractional denomination Continental. Fugio sundial on the face with Franklin's motto "Mind Your Business." Thirteen interlocking chains on the back represent the original colonies united.
Grade: VF +
Lot #75682 - Continental Currency - ($ 300.00 - $ 600.00)
CC-22 $2/3 February 17, 1776
These Fugio fractional denomination Continentals are always really popular for several reasons. There is the tie-in to the coins of the same name. That includes the sundial on the face with Franklin's "Mind Your Business" motto. The back has thirteen interlocking chain links with the name of each colony inscribed, thereby showing their unity against the oppressive British king. PMG has noted Stained, but there are really some relatively minor scattered stains on the back. Wide left margin and bold red inked signature and serial number.
