Lot #3000 - Colonial Currency > Connecticut - ($ 325.00 - $ 575.00)
CT-167 20 Shillings Uncancelled October 10, 1771
An impressive piece due to the fact that it is uncancelled and from the much scarcer 1771 series. PCGS notes edge splits, hinge repairs, minor mounting remnants.
Grade: PCGS Apparent VF 30
Lot #3001 - Colonial Currency > Connecticut - ($ 300.00 - $ 600.00)
CT-170 5 Shillings Slash Cancel June 1, 1773

Grade: PCGS Apparent XF 40
Lot #3002 - Colonial Currency > Connecticut - ($ 250.00 - $ 500.00)
CT-176 10 Shillings Uncancelled January 2, 1775
Notes from this January 1775 issue are quite challenging to obtain in any respectable grade, especially when still uncancelled. PCGS notes an edge split at right.
Grade: PCGS Apparent XF 40
Lot #3003 - Colonial Currency > Connecticut - ($ 250.00 - $ 500.00)

CT-193 40 Shillings Uncancelled July 1, 1775
There is a paper thin on the back that has caused an internal tear. Aside from that fact, this note faces up like a stunning near gem, uncancelled colonial.
Grade: UNC

CT-218 7 Pence Uncancelled October 11, 1777

Grade: PCGS Abt. New 50
Lot #3007 - Colonial Currency > Connecticut - ($ 40.00 - $ 80.00)
CT-218 7 Pence October 11, 1777

CT-223 10 Shillings Hole Cancel March 1, 1780
PMG has given the EPQ designation and also commented "Great Color." The printing quality is as superb as one could ever hope for. As common as these are, not many achieve a gem grade.
Grade: PMG Gem UNC 65 EPQ

Grade: Ch. AU
Lot #3014 - Colonial Currency > Georgia - ($ 400.00 - $ 800.00)
GA-69 $1/4 1776
An intriguing issue with different edge varieties but only a couple of different denominations. Some light corner remnants do little to distract from the satisfying quality of this piece. Low serial number 46 is a bonus.
Grade: VF
Lot #3015 - Colonial Currency > Georgia - ($ 400.00 - $ 800.00)
GA-70 $1/2 1776
A true binary serial number 1110 is seen on this somewhat better Georgia colonial. There were only two fractional denomination notes from this series. PCGS notes splits and tape repairs. Gigantic margins are seen on virtually every side.
Grade: PCGS Apparent VF 25
Lot #3016 - Colonial Currency > Georgia - ($ 600.00 - $ 1,200.00)
GA-71a $1 Blue Seal 1776
Scarcer than the more commonly seen orange seal $1 note with Justice vignette. PCGS notes splits and tears. Newman had a PCGS VF 35PPQ of this type that sold for $1645.
Grade: PCGS Apparent VF 25
Lot #3017 - Colonial Currency > Georgia - ($ 500.00 - $ 1,000.00)
GA-106a $4 Orange Seal June 8, 1777 Low Serial Number 6
Orange Seal. Stag vignette. Five bold signatures remain on this note that bears a really low serial number 6. Plenty of tape repairs and missing pieces are seen, although mostly from the blank back. This is the red "In" variety. There is another serial number 6 note of this same type, a solid VF/XF, that sold a decade ago for a four-figure price. This certainly won't get that far but it is still desirable as a type.
Grade: VF detail

Lot #3027 - Colonial Currency > New Jersey - ($ 150.00 - $ 300.00)
NJ-116 30 Shillings May 1, 1758

Grade: PCGS Apparent Fine 15
Lot #3028 - Colonial Currency > New Jersey - ($ 175.00 - $ 325.00)
NJ-139 30 Shillings April 12, 1760
A much scarcer high denomination note from this incredibly undervalued 1760 series. PCGS notes a small edge split and minor rust. This has far superior eye appeal than what we are used to seeing.
Grade: PCGS Apparent Fine 15
Lot #3029 - Colonial Currency > New Jersey - ($ 200.00 - $ 400.00)
NJ-158 30 Shillings December 31, 1763
This note is not to be confused with the plethora of nice AU and CU notes of the 15 shilling and lower denominations that survived in sheet form and were cut up over the decades. This red and black 30 shilling note, along with the 3 pound and 6 pound notes, are incredibly scarce in any grade. PCGS notes repaired center split.

PA-87 15 Shillings July 1, 1757
